In accordance with attached specifications, it is the intent of the City of Dunedin to establish a contract for the supply of Badger water meters and repair parts for use by the Citys Water Division warehouse on an as needed basis. The Contractor will make a concerted effort to standardize warehouse operations and guarantee continuity of supply for both day-to-day orders and emergency orders. Individuals requiring assistance under the provision of American with Disabilities Act (ADA) should submit their requirements in writing to the Purchasing Section forty-eight [48] hours prior to the bid opening. Any inquiries, suggestions, or requests concerning interpretation, clarification, or additional information pertaining to this Bid shall be made through the City of Dunedins Purchasing Agent, Chuck Ankney, at cankney@dunedinfl.net: or at Dunedin City Hall 737 Louden Ave. Suite 212 Dunedin, FL 34698. Questions should be submitted in writing no less than ten (10) calendar days prior to the time and date of the bid opening noted in the Invitation to Bid. The City shall not be responsible for oral interpretations given by any City employee, representative, or others. The issuance of a written addendum is the only official method whereby interpretation, clarification, or additional information can be given. If any addenda are issued to this bid, the City will attempt to notify all prospective Contractors who have requested a copy of the bid. However, it shall be the responsibility of each Contractor, prior to submitting a response, to contact the City of Dunedins Purchasing Office (727-298-3077 or cankney@dunedinfl.net) to determine if an addendum was issued and to make it a part of the response. The contract (the contract or the agreement) will consist of the supply of various water meters and repair parts manufactured by Badger Meter, Inc. The water meters and parts are used to make repairs to the Citys potable water distribution system. Parts will be ordered on an as needed basis and will become a part of the Citys Water Division inventory. The awarded Contractor (the Contractor) will deliver the parts to the Dunedin Water Division located at 1401 County Road #1 Dunedin, FL 34698. No bidder shall withdraw their bid after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. All bids must be firm bids for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the time set for opening bids. The City of Dunedin reserves the right to accept such bids, as are in the best interests of the City, to waive informalities, or to reject any or all bids. Bids which are incomplete or which are not submitted in accordance with the instructions may be disqualified. The contract shall be for a period three-years. It is estimated that the contract period will commence in June 2024. However, this period may be adjusted based on Commission approval and scheduling needs. The initial term of the contract shall end on the last day of the month in which the Dunedin City Commission approves the award. The contract may be renewed for one (1) additional two-year period using the same terms and conditions and with the mutual agreement of both the City and the Contractor.
