Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
ESTIMATED COST $6,500,000 to $7,000,000 The objective of the project is to repair and replace existing wastewater process equipment by performing selective hazardous material mitigation and abatement work, selective concrete and equipment demolition work, replacement of the existing primary helical scum skimmers, scum skimmer W3 spray water system including structural support upgrades, primary scum pit bubbler level enclosures, compressed air system, ultrasonic level sensors, primary effluent pneumatic operated butterfly valves, and related mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and controls equipment. The work is to be performed in San Francisco, California. Bid discounts may be applied as per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B. The LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement is 15.00% and ONLY San Francisco (Local) Small & Micro-LBEs can be utilized to meet this requirement (Firms certified by SF Contract Monitoring Division). SFPUC-LBEs cannot be utilized to meet the 15.00% LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement. The majority of the work in the contract requires furnishing and installing highly specialized wastewater equipment; which requires a specialized contractor, knowledgeable and experienced in working in a wastewater treatment plant. Subcontracting opportunities may include, but not limited, to the following major types of work: Class A General Engineering Contractor, C-10 Electrical, C-33 Painting and Decorating Contractor, C-36 Plumbing Contractor and Trucking and Hauling. Prime Bidder's attendance at this conference is worth 15 points toward Chapter 14B "Good Faith Outreach" requirements. Documented attendance in the teleconference pre-bid meeting will satisfy this requirement. Bidders must achieve at least 80 points (out of a possible 100 points), as determined by CMD, to be deemed compliant with the "Good Faith Outreach" requirements, except those who exceed the above stated LBE subcontracting participation requirement by 35% under Section 14B.8(B) of the Administrative Code. Parking is available on Herbst Road. Interested Parties shall provide their own PPE, which includes hard hat, safety vest, appropriate footwear for an industrial setting, dust mask or cloth facial covering, latex or rubber gloves. SFPUC encourages Bidders to submit a Safety Prequalification Form at least 3-weeks prior to the date of Bid opening. Bidders are required to pass the Safety Prequalification prior to SFPUC considering their bid submission complete. SFPUC will notify Bidders who have passed the Safety Prequalification prior to or on the date of Bid opening. Refer to Section 00 21 13 - Instructions to Bidders, "Bidder Qualifications" and Section 00 45 12 - Safety Prequalification for additional information. A Class "General A" California Contractors License is required to bid. Furthermore, each listed subcontractor must possess appropriate active licenses for the work each subcontractor will be performing. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
