Site work for a water / sewer project in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a dam / floodwall.
The Emergency Wall Stabilization on Iowa River project includes all materials, equipment, transportation, and labor necessary to complete the improvements as indicated in the plans and specifications as included or referenced in these contract documents. The project generally consists of stabilizing a portion of a retaining wall downstream from the Hydro-Electric Dam in Iowa Falls. Prior to beginning the work, the contractor shall review the plans and information in the Site Characterization Report, develop engineering recommendations and provide detailed design calculations, plans and specifications for the secondary wall or retainer panel using rock anchors to support the loads from behind the wall as well as providing flowable fill to fill the void space and stabilize behind the new secondary wall or retainer panel. Work is to be performed without damaging the existing pavement, and handrailing on the site. Location of work and specific work details can be found in the plans.
