Harris County is soliciting bids for drainage improvements at the Barrett station subdivision (Phase II) for Precinct 2. It is the responsibility of each firm to examine the entire bid package and seek clarification in writing, and review their bid for accuracy before submitting. The County will not be bound by any information conveyed verbally. Questions Due Date: Oct 8th 2021, 12:00 PM CDT Project Location The project is located in Harris County Precinct 2 in Crosby, Texas. The project is bounded by Barrett Rd. to the north, Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. to the west, Eagleton Ln. to the east, and Cottontail Dr. to the south. The Barrett Station subdivision project area lies within the San Jacinto River watershed, with a small portion to the northeast of the project area within the Cedar Bayou watershed. HCFCD Channel Unit G103-05-00 at the southern limits of the project area serves the area as the primary storm water conveyance system through the SJRA irrigation canal via dual nine-foot by seven-foot box culverts Project Purpose The project proposes to address the neighborhood’s drainage issues that are generally due to inadequate ditch capacity, poor conveyance, and silted road and driveway crossing culverts. Scope of Project The scope of work consists of establishing positive drainage and clear flow lines throughout the subdivision, by adding new collector ditches, regrading existing ditches, and upsizing driveway culverts and street crossing culverts. The scope of work also includes the construction of 5.4 acre-ft detention basin and relocation of existing waterline.
