Repair and Paving of Farm Road, Research Farm, Kentucky State University, Frankfort, Kentucky. This Project consists of asphalt paving of approximately 1,485 linear feet of roadway, pavement base failure repairs, roadway & parking lot widening, asphalt pavement milling, approximately 85,000 square yards of asphalt pavement sealing, and the replacement of storm water culvert pipes with headwalls This project is to be bid LUMP SUM. This bid shall include all labor, equipment, materials, and any incidentals necessary to complete the items of work detailed in plans and herein. Contractor shall be responsible for determining actual quantities to be used to construct this structure as shown on plans and described within Bid Documents. No questions will be answered at the site visit. All technical questions need to be emailed to Morris Talbott, Advanced Engineering, aels@bellsouth.net by noon on March 14, 2022 to be answered by an addenda. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee (in the form of a bid bond or certified check) of not less than five (5%) percent of the amount of the lump sum base bid. A 100% Performance Bond and a separate 100% Payment Bond shall be furnished by the successful bidder. All bonding and insurance requirements are contained in the Instructions to Bidders and/or General Conditions. Bonds should be executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
