KCSC desires that Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) have a maximum opportunity to participate in the performance of City contracts. The project has an overall DBE participation goal, and only firms that have been certified by the Missouri Regional Certification Committee (MRCC) and perform a Commercially Useful Function (CUF) are eligible to satisfy the DBE goal.
The Work to be performed under this Contract shall begin on the date specified in the written Notice to Proceed issued by the Director of Public Works, and the Work shall be substantially complete, in accordance with Paragraph 14.04, on or before March 1st, 2024 or date agreed upon at FGMP. Once the Work starts, CONTRACTOR shall continuously pursue completion of the Work. The Work shall be completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 14.07 within 60 Calendar Days after the date of Substantial Completion of the Work. CONTRACTOR shall furnish Performance and Maintenance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price, as set out in the Contract Documents. Bidders are required to provide Payment, Performance, and Maintenance Bonds equal to 100% of the contract value
By submitting its bid, Bidder agrees to meet or exceed the minimum employment goals of 10% minority and 2% women during the term of its contract with the KCSC. The national goal for participation of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) is 10 percent. CITYs overall goal for DBE participation is 20.07 percent. A contract goal of twenty and seven hundredths percent (20.07%) has been established for this procurement. The system will consist of 3.5 route miles of streetcar track with two single crossovers & one double crossover, 15 station stops, roadway & trackway drainage, earthwork, electrical & communications duct banks, five TPSS buildings and foundations, OCS foundations, street lighting, traffic signals, landscaping, sidewalk restoration, overhead catenary systems, traffic signage, and striping.
