Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Mechanicsville, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

This Project is generally comprised of, but not limited to, the following: 1. An overall phased approach to addressing key components in an occupied facility. 2. Replacements of the windows, interior and exterior doors, ceilings and flooring including abatement of ACM. 3. Upgrades to fire alarm, IT, public address system, and lighting. 4. Upgrades to mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. 5. A fire sprinkler system will be installed including a fire suppression tank. 6. Modifications to the health suite, kitchen, offices and storage areas, and a security vestibule are included. 7. Improvements to meet ADA compliance throughout the school 8. Exterior improvements including grading issues, sidewalk and building facade upgrades are included. 9. Construction is anticipated to begin by April, 2022. 10. Substantial Completion is anticipated by April, 2024. 11. The overall cost of construction of the Project is estimated to be in the range of $9,700,000. To be considered, Contractors must submit one (1) copy of a fully completed prequalification application ("Application") which complies with the requirements of the SMPCS Prequalification Process and the requirements of the Prequalification Package for the Project. Any prospective contractor desiring an explanation or interpretation of this invitation to prequalify must request such in writing in advance of October 14, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. to allow a reply to reach all prospective contractors before the submission deadline.
