Site work and renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Glendale, Arizona. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The proposed renovations and park enhancements include picnic ramadas with tables and barbeque grills, benches, walking pathways, sports courts (basketball and sand volleyball), bicycle rack, fitness plaza, area lighting, and landscape and irrigation improvements. All activities will be in accordance with Phoenix building, zoning, and development codes as approved by the Planning and Development Department. The planned activities are proposed in accordance with the City of Phoenix General Plan and the City's 7/2020 6/2024 Consolidated Plan. The cost for the project is estimated at approximately $2,000,000 and is expected to use $2,000,000 CDBG funds from the 2015, 2016, and 2017 HUD federal fiscal funding years. The project may also involve CDBG funds from future Federal funding years.
