The Project includes, without limitation, furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment and other incidental and appurtenant Work necessary to satisfactorily complete the Project, as more specifically described in the Contract Documents. This Work will be performed in strict conformance with the Contract Documents, permits from regulatory agencies with jurisdiction, and applicable regulations. The quantity of Work to be performed and materials to be furnished are approximations only, being given as a basis for the comparison of Bids. Actual quantities of Work to be performed may vary at the discretion of the City Engineer. The work may consist of, but is not limited to: Pull new 72-strand single-mode fiber from the hub on the Southwest corner of Technology Drive and Sierra Hwy to the pull box on the east side of 3rd St East, approximately 700' South of Technology drive (pull through existing pathway). 2. Terminate all strands of the new 72-strand fiber using SC connectors at the hub on the Southwest corner of Technology Drive and Sierra Hwy. Contractor shall provide a new Corning FDU to accommodate terminations. 3. Furnish and install corning splice closure 144 fiber with trays for heat shrink fusion into existing pull box on 3rd St East (Approximately 700' South of Technology Drive).4. Construct new pathway and pull new 12-strand single-mode fiber from the pull box on 3rd St East into the Desert Sands Park building. This item includes all work associated with utility coordination and investigations of existing facilities that the new pathway will cross. 5. Splice strands 1-6 of the new 72-strand fiber to strands 1-6 of the new 12-strand fiber entering the Desert Sands Park building at the pull box on 3rd St. East. 6. Terminate new 12-strand fiber using LC connectors at Desert Sands Park building. Contractor shall provide a new Corning FDU at Desert Sands Park building; a 2-post rack will be provided by City. Please note that strands 7-12 will remain inactive at this time as they are not spliced at 3rd St East. 7. Patch 1-12 of the new 12-strand fiber to strands 25-36 of existing 72 strand fiber located inside the hub on the Southwest corner of Technology Drive and Sierra Hwy using SC to SC fiber patch cables. 8.
