**As of November 17, 2021, the project was awarded Bid amount received 578,703.90 In general, the work consists of street and Class I pathway improvements, including installation of pre-engineered and pre-fabricated clear span steel truss pedestrian bridge, concrete bridge abutments and work at each approach to the new bridge, including new signage, striping and pavement markings, removal and replacement of existing curb and gutter, construction of new HMA pavement section, HMA overlay and grinding, concrete sidewalk, driveway and pathway, new ADA curb ramps and upgrading existing curb ramps for ADA compliance, tree removal, new street light, traffic control and other related work, as set forth on the project Plans and Specifications. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Contract Goal is 8.0 percent. Attention is directed to the Federal minimum wage rate requirements in the Bid book. If there is a difference between the minimum wage rates predetermined by the Secretary of Labor and the general prevailing wage rates determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations for similar classifications of labor, the Contractor and subcontractors shall pay not less than the higher wage rate. The Department will not accept lower State wage rates not specifically included in the Federal minimum wage determinations. This includes "helper" (or other classifications based on hours of experience) or any other classification not appearing in the Federal wage determinations. Where Federal wage determinations do not contain the State wage rate determination otherwise available for use by the Contractor and subcontractors, the Contractor and subcontractors shall pay not less than the Federal minimum wage rate, which most closely approximates the duties of the employees in question. Bidders must hold a Class A Contractor's license under the laws of the State of California. Bidder's security will be required as provided in the Contract Documents. No Bidder may withdraw his bid after the time fixed for the opening thereof.
