Demolition, site work, remodeling and addition to a medical facility in Mauston, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the addition of a 2,400-square-foot medical facility; and for the remodel of a 8,900-square-foot medical facility.
In general, the work consists of: approximately 8,900 square feet of the existing Skilled Care Unit facility that is to be remodeled in phases; and a new 2,400 square foot building addition consisting of (8) eight new wet cells, one office, and one storage room. The new addition shall be built with spread footings, concrete slab, concrete block bearing walls with block rain screen to match existing, thermally broken aluminum frame 60-minute attack rated windows, and a precast plank roof with tapered EPDM roofing system. The new Skilled Care Unit Expansion footprint currently conflicts with existing underground power and telecommunications circuits. As part of scheduling of the project, temporary and new power and telecommunications need to be constructed and completed in its entirety prior to the start of the Skilled Care Unit Expansion foundation buildout. The scope of work as it relates to power and telecommunications, and the creation of a new route for power and telecommunications circuits is described in detail on the “Site” Electrical set of drawings. Additional coordination with the Agency will be required as multiple outages are expected. This work shall be discussed in detail during the preconstruction meeting in order to coordinate all services to keep outages to a minimum.
