Renovation of an educational facility in Worthington, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Flat Roof Repairs at RH Conwell Elementary School, 147 Huntington Road. There are two membrane roof areas at the Conwell School in need of replacement: The first area is over the kitchen and is approximately 500 Square Feet in size. It was installed around 2001. The membrane in this area needs to be removed and replaced. The second area over the classrooms is approximately 1800 Square Feet in size and needs immediate repair - there are active leaks and water infiltration being held under the membrane. A. Scope 1. Flat Roofs areas in Scope: a. Approximately 1800 square feet over classrooms b. Approximately 500 square feet over new kitchen General 1. Assess existing conditions for coordination with recently installed sloped roofs, assess substrate and structure for condition and code compliance with sign-off by structural engineer as required. 2. Removal of current membrane roofing and insulation and any damaged substrate. 3. Replacement and installation of membrane roofing: new tapered insulation to slope to building's edge with new appropriately sized gutter and leader to existing drain at courtyard; and coordination of new membrane and flashing with existing adjacent sloped shingled roof - with addition of fire rated Gypsum Thermal barrier and adhered cover board.
