Renovation of a fire / police facility in Worthington, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
Seeking a highly qualified contractor to both design and install a renewable, modern wood heating system compliant with 225 CMR 16.00: the Alternative Portfolio Standard to be located at the towns fire station. Included in the project shall be the dismantling and responsible disposal of both existing distillate boilers. The proposed system may utilize the buildings existing chimney and shall include external fuel storage with a capacity to support the buildings heating load for not less than two months. It is necessary that the project be operational prior to the 2025/26 heating season. Qualifying bidders must have directly installed a minimum of five similar heating systems in the Commonwealth within the past three years.
