Site work, paving, outdoor lighting and new construction of a mixed-use development in Darien, Georgia. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
As of February 18, 2022, the project is under evaluation and has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not been confirmed. The principal items of construction are: The project consists of constructing a new recreation park to include the following: 4 natural grass baseball/softball fields, 2 natural grass multi -purpose fields, sports field lighting and associated electrical, restroom/concessions buildings, maintenance building, playground, walking trails, and parking. Proposers shall inform themselves of and comply with all conditions and specifications contained in the bid package, contract, related documents and State and Federal Law. Proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the bid to be considered. The project is to be fully complete by twelve (12) months from signed Notice to Proceed. Bidders must agree to pay as liquidated damages the sum of $300.00 per each consecutive calendar day thereafter.
