Modernization of one (1) basement geared traction passenger elevator located in McLaughlin Hall. Scope includes but is not limited to: -New controller. -New drive. -New machine. -New door operating equipment. -New fixtures. -New cab finishes. Elevator was installed in the 1960's with a partial modernization is 1985 (TSSA installation number 7435) - current manufacturer is Otis. Specifics regarding controller, machine and motor can be found in the appendices. McLaughlin Hall was completed in 1948 as a home for the Department of Mechanical Engineering and was built on the old site of the Observatory. The building was expanded in 1960 and renovated in 1978.
