A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The proposed work consists of but is not limited to; The installation of approximately 475 linear feet (LF) of six-inch (6") high density polyethylene (HDPE) water main by means of horizontal directional drilling between East Granada Drive and Cartagena Drive within the Baywood section of Brick Township. The project also comprises the installation of approximately 100 LF of PVC water main, valves, hydrant, water service installations, temporary bypass (as required), and associated appurtenances. The proposed work is located; Along Cartagena and East Granada Drives, within the Baywood Section of the Brick Township, Ocean County, New Jersey, as depicted on the Contract Drawings. Note: This project is not funded by the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Financing Program (NJEIFP). Each prospective bidder will have to provide the appropriate installation references and certifications to the satisfaction of the Brick Utilities. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check for an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid or a maximum of $20,000.00; such certification to be without condition or qualification, and the check made payable to the Brick Township Municipal Utilities Authority. Each bid must also be accompanied by an agreement to become surety, properly executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and which agreement shall be attached to the proposal. All bidders shall be required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-6.2, requiring each bidder and each subcontractor to formulate and submit to the proper authorized representative of the State the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development an affirmative action program of equal opportunity which guarantees minorities employment in all employment categories.
