The project consists of furnishing the following supplies, equipment, and/or services. Des Moines Area Community College Legacy Plaza, Building 17 Brewery and Bar Relocations The bids are for a single Prime Contract for relocation of an existing brewery production space within the same building and replacing this former space with a bar including associated mechanical and electrical items at the DMACC Legacy Plaza, Building 17. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis; segregated sub-bids will not be accepted. Work is anticipated to commence upon award of contract, and be completed by March 25, 2022, in two phases as shown on the Contract Documents. A public hearing will be conducted at a meeting to be held at Rooms 170, Building 7, DMACC Urban Campus, Des Moines, IA 50314, at 4:00PM., on the 8th day of November, 2021, at which time and place any person may appear and file objections to the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract, and the estimated cost of said project. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid in the form of certified check, credit union share draft, or surety bond written on an original AIA Document A310, Bid Bond is required for this project. The successful bidder will be required to provide surety Performance and Payment Bonds in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract or contracts as shall be deemed in the best interest of DMACC. Anticipated Construction Start: December 14, 2021. Required Substantial Completion Date: Not later than April 29, 2022. I. Required Final Completion Date: Not later than June 1, 2022.
