The County of Oxford is seeking to prequalify General Contractors for the cleaning and coating of the steel girders on Bridge #59755, located on Oxford Road 59, City of Woodstock. The structure was rehabilitated over 2024 and 2025 with the cleaning and coating of the steel girders in 2026 is the final part of the structure's planned rehabilitation. Description of the Work The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment and materials to complete the construction works which will generally consist of, but not be limited to: Reinforce steel abutment diaphragm by welding steel cover plates. Removal of existing coating through abrasive blast cleaning to all surfaces of existing structural steel. Supply, installation, maintenance and removal of environmental containment complete with negative pressure; for cleaning and coating of steel. Application of new 3 Coat System to existing structural steel; within environmental containment. Employ rapid deployment methods to clean portions of the steel over the CPKC right-of-way. Maintain and protect existing Bell conduits/ducts on the west side of the bridge. Collect and dispose of spent abrasive and lead and other heavy metals. Supply, install, maintain and remove the traffic control (pedestrian and vehicle). Erosion and sediment control measures. Restoration of all disturbed areas to existing or better condition.
