For Demolish the 1923 Orchard Public School Building Summerland Public School - Ewing, Nebraska is requesting bid proposals from qualified general contractors to demolish the 1923 Orchard Public School building in Orchard, Nebraska and seal off portions of the campus that will remain. Work of this proposed Contract comprises demolition, including general construction, structural, mechanical, and electrical Work. December 14, 2021: Notice to Proceed given to commence with Demolition. May 16, 2022: Substantial Completion of Demolition/Construction. June 1,2022: Final Completion of Demolition/Construction. Work consists of the demolition and removal of approximately 19,120 square feet of the old 1923 portion of the Orchard Public School, including any contents which may remain in the building at the time demolition commences. Work also includes the select removal of concrete paving and other site improvements, the filling in of old basements, rough and fine grading of the demolition site to prepare for seeding.
