Renovation of an educational facility in San Luis Obispo, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

**As of 2/9/2022 “The owner has selected a Design Builder. A timeline for construction has not yet been established.” The University is soliciting Proposals for the Audio/Visual Scope of Services for the Science and Agriculture Teaching and Research Complex Audio-Visual Design Build package. Any agreement under this request will be contracted directly with the University. Cal Poly San Luis Obispo is building a new facility at the center of campus, nestled just north of Baker Center andnext to existing Agricultural, Science and Liberal Arts buildings, that will bring three different colleges together underone roof: The College of Science and Mathematics (CSM), the College of Agriculture, Food and EnvironmentalSciences (CAFES) and the College of Liberal Arts (CLA). In addition, the building will include larger scale teachingspaces for use by the general university population. This new Science and Agriculture Teaching and ResearchComplex (SATRC) will support the educational priorities of a growing Cal Poly student and faculty population,promote interdisciplinary communities and will also provide much needed research and academic space includingstudent collaboration areas, faculty I staff offices and shared conference I seminar rooms and a mix of large tomedium sized lecture halls and classroom spaces.The full build-out of the SATRC is planned to be 4 stories and 102,000 GSF. This project is a Construction Managerat Risk (CMAR) Project with Gilbane Construction Co (GBCo) serving as the CMAR, ZGF Architects (ZGF) serving asthe Project Architect, and Cal Poly Facilities Planning and Capital Projects acting as the Project Manager representing the University. The anticipated start date for installation is December 22, 2021 with an anticipated end date of May 8, 2022. Design Phase. The Proposer will provide Design - shop drawings and technical documentation that meets project specifications. This scope includes, but is not limited to: 1. Identifying possible value management opportunities 2. Develop scheduling, workforce and logistics planning 3. Identify strategic procurement planning or early release of equipment 4. Incorporating Project Specifications and Campus IT standards Installation and Integration Phase. At the end of the Design Phase, the University will issue approval to proceed upon the Universities approval of the final shop drawings and/or proposed phasing for early release of equipment per contractor's recommendation. The University will issue a construction agreement upon the Universities agreement of the final design, schedule and construction phase cost as established in the Preconstruction Phase. Project Number: MIN18-SR5335 SATRC AV scope completion extends to May 2022.
