The Skytrain Operations Control Centre Building (OCC 2) is located at the Translink Operations Facility in Burnaby. It will be a dedicated data centre and control building for the Expo, Millennium and new Broadway SkyTrain networks. A steel structure on grade, with metal and glass envelope system will house all the operating systems and staff facilities in an area of approx. 65,000sqft. TransLink has retained Bird Construction Group LP to act as General Contractor for the construction of new SkyTrain Operation Control Centre (OCC 2) building. Bird is responsible for administering a trade prequalification process/tendering process, entering into contracts with trades directly, and providing construction services for OCC 2.
