As outlined in Metro Vancouver's Green Fleet Plan, fleet electrification is expected to play a critical role in meeting Metro Vancouver's climate action goals to lower GHG emissions and to become net zero. The Green Fleet Plan requires a minimum of 307 vehicles to be transitioned / replaced to electric vehicles over the next 6 years. It is estimated that over 400 EV charging stations are required at hub charging and opportunistic charging locations to meet these aggressive goals. Major charging hubs have been identified from the Metro Vancouver Fleet Climate Action Strategy Report (FCAS).
