Site work and new construction of a communication facility in Surprise, Arizona. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a communication facility; and for site work for a communication facility.
Design and Construction of a 150 foot tall Regional Communication Tower strategically to improve the reliability of communications for Police, Fire, Public Works, Parks and Recreation, Water and Wastewater SCADA . The tower will be equipped with state of the art directional antennas that will increase the quality of the data being transmitted and received. The tower would be built to the standards for use as a Regional Wireless Cooperative tower and also be used for other communication needs by the City of Surprise. The tower would provide additional public safety radio coverage for an area of the city that is currently underserved. As of February 2, 2024, this project is included in the City of Surprise's FY 2024-2028 CIP. Design has not started as of yet. Information regarding the contractor selection has not been disclosed. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
