Site work for a civil project in Surprise, Arizona. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Convert an existing agricultural well located on the SPA1 Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) site to an Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) Well. The project will include analyzing the soil conditions and porosity, and groundwater quality to determine the feasibility of constructing an ASR Well. The new well will be constructed within 600 feet of the Agricultural (AG) Well in order to take advantage of the AG Well's grandfathered permitted rights; which includes a large production and withdrawal capacity. As of July 29, 2022, this project is currently in the FY 2023-2027 CIP. Information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to fiscal year 2025. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
