Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Surprise, Arizona. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and bridge / tunnel.
This project is Phase 2 of the delivery the full design and construction of the ultimate intersection of 163rd Avenue and Jomax Road. Phase 2 will include an extension of the existing box culvert and other drainage improvements, the ultimate traffic signal configuration, street lights, sidewalks, travel lanes and landscape. This project will also include right-of-way acquisition from State Land Trust. Phase 1 was completed in January 2020. As of Marach 13, 2024, this project is included in the City of Surprise's FY 2024-2028 CIP. Information regarding a design team and the contractor selection has not been disclosed. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
