As of September 15, 2022, a commissioning agent has been selected. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference. The Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission (GSFIC), as "Owner", on behalf of the Technical College System of Georgia ("Using Agency" or ''TCSG''), and Chattahoochee Technical College, ('CTC'') is seeking Statements of Qualifications from firms interested in providing Building Commissioning Services for a project known as Project No. TCSG-363 Aviation Training Academy for Chattahoochee Technical College to be constructed on the grounds of the Paulding County Northwest Atlanta Airport in Dallas, Georgia. The Request for Qualifications (RFQ) can be downloaded from the Georgia procurement Registry by selecting the Documents tab above and then selecting the RFQ. Interested firms should check this site periodically for project related updates. Deadline for submission of written questions and requests for clarification (See Section 6) 10/27/2021 2:00 PM The new facility would allow Chattahoochee Technical College to train students in Aviation Maintenance Training Technology programs to diagnose problems and repair aircraft power plants and airframes. Aviation Maintenance Training Technology programs to be provided by Chattahoochee Tech would include certification programs approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), diplomas, and associate degree programs. The new aviation academy would operate at the Paulding County Northwest Atlanta Airport in Dallas, Georgia. The Paulding Northwest Atlanta Airport is the first jet-capable airport to be built in Georgia in over thirty years. The airport was designed to accommodate the anticipated growth in both private and corporate aircraft operations throughout the next fifty years. The delivery method for this Project will be construction manager at-risk (CM/GC), and, at a minimum, will employ the services of a Design Professional, a Commissioning Agent and the services of a CM/GC. The preliminary Stated Cost Limitation (SCL) or construction cost of the Project is estimated at $24,000,000. The final SCL may be revised by the Owner due to final programmatic requirements, funding availability or other circumstances. Construction documents are anticipated for completion in early in the second quarter of 2022. The start of construction is contingent on the availability of the funding and is anticipated to take approximately 13 to 14 month duration to complete. (All of the dates above are estimates which are subject to change.) The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
