As of December 20, 2021, a general contractor has been awarded and is still accepting subcontractor pricing at this time. The work will be performed under ONE contract with the Owner. Bidders should call in advance to order their sets. A set of Bidding Documents is comprised of one set of drawings and one bound set of the project manual. Partial sets may be purchased by individual contractors at their own cost and shall not be refunded. Refunds will be issued up to (1) set for sets returned in good condition to Phipps Reprographics. Any checks not returned to the contractor by this date will be turned over to the owner for deposit into the general operating fund. All questions requiring additional information or clarification shall be submitted to the Architect by Tuesday, November 9, 2021. Bid Security will be required in the amount and form defined by the Instructions to Bidders and Amendment to the Instructions to Bidders. Any proposed equal for a standard shall be submitted to the Architect no later than ten (10) days prior to the bid opening. The proposed equal shall be considered rejected if no Addendum is issued accepting the proposed equal. Liquidated damages will be assessed for failure to complete the Work within the time specified noted in the Project Manual. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities in any bid and to reject any and/all bids. No Bidder may modify, withdraw, or cancel his Bid for sixty (60) days from the actual time and date designated for the receipt of Bids. The use of Federal ESSER funds on this project requires the use Davis-Bacon Wages prevailing wage requirements and all contractors and subcontractors must pay wages that are not less than those established for the locality of the project (prevailing wage rates). Bids, including the Form of Proposal, Non-collusion Affidavit, and Bid Security, should be submitted in an opaque sealed envelope with the outside clearly marked with the name of the Project and the name of the Bidder and should be addressed to: Mr. Ken Kippenbrock Executive Director of Human Resources and Operations Covington Independent Public School District
