Renovation of a library in Augusta, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.

Wallace Branch Library - Floor Replacement All questions must be submitted in writing by fax to 706 821-2811 or by email to procbidandcontract@augustaga.gov to the office of the Procurement Department by Wednesday, November 17, 2021 @ 5:00 P.M The Owner may waive any informalities or minor defects or reject any and all bids. This project is related to the flooring replacement for the Wallace Branch Library, located at 1237 Laney Walker Blvd. in Augusta, GA. Work is to be in accordance with all applicable rules, laws and regulations and in accordance with the specifications. The Scope of Work for this project includes the removal of furniture where required, removal and disposal of existing tiles/flooring in designated areas. Replacement with LVT and re-installation of any furniture removed from work area. o Contractor shall provide three (3) samples of the LVT material and cove base for approval after the bid is awarded. o Contractor will provide one (1) box of LVT tiles or 5% of the total quantity installed, whichever is greater, to Augusta for use in future patching after selection. o Contractor shall furnish no less than a five (5) year unconditional guarantee covering satisfactory workmanship, material and installation for the project. o Contractor shall be required to furnish all equipment, machinery, transportation and other implements necessary to execute the scope of services. o Contractor shall be required to furnish all materials; safety measures and property protection needed to complete the scope of work outlined and protect facility surfaces from damage. o Contractor shall remove furniture where required, remove and properly dispose of the existing flooring and cove base. o Contractor shall prepare the subfloor. Fill small cracks and holes in concrete floor slabs with one-part, non-shrinking cement to three-part sand grout with latex or epoxy additive. All ridges or other uneven surface shall be ground smooth; chalky surface shall be primed. o Contractor shall install the new LVT flooring and cove base. Installation shall be in accordance with product manufacturer's recommendation. o Contractor shall remove spots and smears from LVT tiles with solvent. o Contractor shall remove all tools and equipment and dispose of all waste and excess materials o Contractor shall carefully and thoroughly vacuum clean to satisfaction of Augusta. o Contractor shall re-install any furniture removed from work. o Final inspection will take place by Augusta, Georgia Central Services Department
