The Project consists of constructing approximately 50.4 miles of new water mains ranging in size from 2 inches to 6 inches; 4 new booster pump stations; replacement of 2 existing booster pump stations; 4 new water storage tanks; service lines; meters; valves; and related appurtenances. Separate bids will be received for Contract No. 1 - Water Lines and Pump Stations and Contract No. 2 - Water Storage Tanks. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis for Contract No. 1, and on a lump sum and unit price basis for Contract No. 2. Contract No. 1 includes deductive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. Addendums to the bid package will be issued through the online MCE Plan Holders List; therefore, all prime bidders shall be responsible for downloading the bid documents from the MCE online plan room in order to be included on the Plan Holders List and submit a bid. Bidders must enter the addenda numbers in the Proposal to verify receipt. Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All listed iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials. The de minimis and minor components waiver apply to this contract. Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond executed on the prescribed form, payable to the Mount Olive Water Association in an amount not less than 5 percent of the amount bid.
