The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and supplies as required to repair/sand Indian Trail Intermediate School - Gym athletic floor located at 307 Car-mol Dr., Johnson City, TN 37604. Quotes should reflect the cost of all materials and labor for demolition of existing base,, inspection and repair of any damaged athletic floor, sanding, finishing, install game lines and logo, and install 4" x 3" heavy duty, vented, rubber cove base with pre-molded outside corners. Gym floor is approximately 10,000 square feet, constructed over a concrete slab. The dimensions referred to in the description of work regarding work area in reference to the gym floor are the best obtainable, available data, but are not guaranteed by the Owner and neither shall be responsible for their accuracy or completeness. Prior to proceeding with any work the contractor shall verify in the field all dimensions or conditions necessary to avoid construction errors. No additional compensation shall be borne by the Owner due to the failure of the Contractor or his subcontractors to properly coordinate the work with existing conditions. It shall be the Contractor's responsibility to satisfy themselves to the accuracy of all measurements during the construction process. Period: The wood flooring system shall be guaranteed by the Contractor for a period of one (1) year. The Owner and Contractor agree and further stipulate that the agreed upon sum is not a penalty, but rather a reasonable measure of damages, based upon the parties' experience in their industries and given the nature of the damages that may result from delay. This form and the General Contract Form must be signed and returned with the bid package. The Certificate of Insurance must be provided to Purchasing prior to contract award. Accordingly, instead of requiring proof, owner and contractor agree that as liquidated damages for delay, contractor shall pay owner two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) for each calendar day that expires after the time specified. The City reserves the right to postpone or reject any or all submittals, to waive informalities and to accept the itq judged to be in the best interest of the City. Time is of the essence to this project. Project can begin on December 17, 2021 and must be completed no later than January 3, 2021
