Demolition, site work, asbestos abatement and renovation of a municipal facility in Ludlow, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for the renovation of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; and for asbestos abatement for a municipal facility.
Demolish existing carpeting, VCT flooring, and rubber base in two apartment units. Provide and install new VCT flooring and rubber base. Demolish in living/kitchen area, as well as the bedroom: all existing carpeting (not as Asbestos-containing material); VCT flooring (down to concrete slab) and all associated mastic; all rubber base and associated mastic. This includes all associated closets. Existing ceramic tile in bathroom to remain, and be protected during construction. Demolition of existing VCT flooring in accordance with asbestos abatement specification section. Existing kitchen cabinetry to remain (includes base cabinets), and any flooring underneath base cabinets will therefore remain. . Prepare/repair existing concrete slab for installation of new VCT flooring with self leveling underlayment approved by VCT manufacturer. . Provide and install new VCT flooring and continuous rubber base in living/kitchen area, as well as the bedroom. Estimated Cost: 24K Locations- Building No. 1 - 20 Meadow Street, Unit No. 2 Building No. 3 - 46 Meadow Street, Unit No. 1 Ludlow, MA 01056 : Demolish existing carpeting, VCT flooring, and rubber base in two apartment units. Provide and install new VCT flooring and rubber base. The participation goals for this project shall be 15.3% for minorities and 6.9% for women.
