Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Milford, Iowa. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; for site work for a water / sewer project; for the demolition of a pre-engineered storage facility; and pre-engineered storage facility.
Construction of a conventional filtration surface water treatment facility with a capacity of 1,400 gpm and coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, and disinfection processes. Construction of precast treatment facility building, cast-in-place concrete flocculation and sedimentation tanks, cast-inplace concrete clear well and chlorine contact tank Demolition of existing metal storage buildings on proposed facility site prior to construction and demolition of existing WTF after proposed facility start-up. Construction of all necessary instrumentation and controls for a complete system. Sealing and abandonment of existing Dakota well on facility site. Work on the improvements shall commence upon approval of the contract by the Board of Trustees, and as stated in the Notice to Proceed. Work under the Contract must be complete within seven hundred ninety (790) calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages for work remaining after completion dates are defined in Section 00 52 00. A bid security as defined by Iowa Code Chapter 26.8 and in the amount of not less than 5 percent of the total amount bid, drawn in favor of the Milford Municipal Utilities, shall accompany each bid.
