The base project consists of pavement rehabilitation which includes base failure repairs, asphalt grinding, and 2" asphalt concrete overlay on eastbound Railroad Avenue from Village Drive to Sunset Avenue, as well as upgrading the existing curb ramps to ADA-compliant curb ramps. The base project also includes upgrading the existing bicycle lanes to buffered bicycle lanes on both side of Sunset Avenue from Marina Boulevard to Sunset Avenue. Additive alternates include base failure repairs on eastbound Railroad Avenue from Birchwood Court to Village Drive, as well as placing paving mat within the roadway segment to receive 2" asphalt concrete overlay. Construction work on this project shall begin no later than July 5, 2022, weather permitting. This project is funded by federal funds and is subject to all federally-funded project provisions including the utilization of Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE): This project has a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise participation goal of 10.0% percent. Inquiries or questions based on alleged patent ambiguity of the plans, specifications or estimate must be communicated as a bidder inquiry prior to bid opening. Any such inquiries or questions, submitted after bid opening, will not be treated as a bid protest. The successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond. The Contractor and all sub-contractors shall possess a valid Suisun City Business License prior to start of work. The City of Suisun City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any defects or informality in the bidding.
