Renovation of a mixed-use development in Stockbridge, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

This project is funded by Federal Stimulus Funds and will be subject to the provisions of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 which requires, compliance with Federal Davis-Bacon Act, 40 USC 3141 et. Seq. and other Federal statutes and regulations. Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after time has been called on date of opening. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than 5% of the Base Bid. Both a Performance and a Payment Bond will be required in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities. The work consists of the demolition of the existing cooling tower and portions of cooling water and make up water piping at Austin Road Middle School and at Union Grove High School, plus removal of associated electrical power circuits and electrical devices supporting the cooling tower. The project includes replacing the cooling tower with a new tower at each school, and new cooling water piping and drain piping and supports, as well as new electrical circuits. The project also includes control work to incorporate the new VFD fan modulation sequence into the existing central plant controls, make up water pipe modifications, chemical treatment of the new tower cooling water, and TAB work.
