Site work and paving for a road / highway in Dodge City, Kansas. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
As of September 22, 2023, a design firm has been selected for the project. Construction is estimated to take place in 2025. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to solicit and select a firm to provide professional engineering design services to construct a second access point to Dodg e City High School. This design work shall be guided by the Phase 1 & Phase 2 recommendations included in the Dodg e City High School Area Transportation Study. If funding is available, the City may be interested in completing design work for some of the future improvements for consideration included in the study. The Design Firm will be working with the City of Dodg e City and KDOT to provide these services. The desired candidate will also be expected to communicate with USD 443 and Dodg e City Community College to ensure that current and future needs are being considered. It will be necessary for the Design Firm to work closely with the Utility Companies to determine if utility relocations will be necessary, if any. It is the City's desire to have these plans completed by late 2022 so that the project, or an initial phase of the project, may be advertised in time for construction to start in the spring/summer of 2023.
