Demolition and site work for a fire / police facility in Aurora, Colorado. Working plans call for the demolition of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
The City of Aurora's Lift Station 7 was decommissioned over 20 years ago and is no longer in use. It is located east of the I-225 and Parker Road interchange. The lift station sits on property owned by the Radisson Hotel. The City inspects Lift Station, LS 7, on an annual basis. The latest inspection shows an increasing state of disrepair with doors falling off. The wetwell and drywell entrances are a hazard and the station as a whole is falling apart. The station has become a nuisance for Operations and a liability hazard to the City and it is recommended the Station be fully demolished. The scope of work will include removal and disposal of hazardous materials (asbestos and lead paint), disposal of stored equipment and the above grade structure, cutting and disposing the top 4-ft of the below grade structure, filling the pit with flow fill, curb & gutter demolition, new curb & gutter installation, new asphalt paving, seeding, and other miscellaneous items.
