Site work for a water / sewer project in Lisle, Illinois. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Village has completed design for stormwater improvements, located within the residential properties at the intersection of Maple and Kingston. During larger rainfall events, the existing storm sewer system surcharges at the lowest rim elevation located in the sidewalk. When this inlet surcharges, the stormwater from Inverness Rd. and Kingston Ave. floods the properties at the northwest corner of the Maple-Kingston intersection. Potential solutions include super-elevating the road, adding a gutter, elevating the sidewalk or upsizing the Inverness storm sewers and ditches to capture more runoff so it does not overtop the right-of-way and reach this intersection as frequently. As of May 19, 2022, this project is included in the Village of Lisle's FY 2022-2027 Budget CIP and funding is allocated for 2022/2023. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
