New Clinic Shelby, Montana NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Marias Healthcare Services, Inc. (MHSI) is formally requesting qualifica-tions and proposals from construction firms interested in serving as a General Con-tractor/ Construction Manager (GC/ CM) in accordance with Title 18, Chapter 2, Part 5, MCA. The selected GC/CM will participate in a collaborative process to assist, as a partner, with Marias Healthcare Services, staff and the design team for the renovation of a new medical clinic in the former Shopko building located at 1950 Roosevelt Hwy, Shelby, MT. Total build out area is approximately 33,000 sf plus exterior modifications. This project is being funded in part by grants provided by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development (RD) Program. Some funding for the project may require that, to the greatest extent feasible, opportunities for training and employment arising in connection with this project will be extended to local lowerincome residents. Further, to the greatest extent feasible, business concerns located in or substantially owned by residents of the project area will be utilized. Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) are encouraged to apply. The intent of this solicitation is to identify qualified GC/ CM candidates interested in participating in a collaborative process to bring the new Marias Healthcare Services, Inc. clinic to fruition in a timely and costefficient manner. From the list of interested and qualified GC/CM candidates, Marias Healthcare Services, Inc. will select the GC/CM firm, through the interview process, which is best qualified and best suits the community's needs and intent regarding the Project. It is anticipated that the selected GC/CM will initially provide Preconstruction phase services and, assuming that conditions attendant to the Project are met, will move forward with the provision of Construction phase services. The GC/CM shall comply with all fair labor practices and must meet the requirements of all local, state and federal statutes.
