The City of Tallahassee - StarMetro is seeking to repair, sealcoat and restripe a portion of the bus parking lot located at 555 Appleyard Dr. Tallahassee Fl, 32304 Q & A deadline: Nov 18, 2021 4:00:00 PM EST Contract duration: 1 year Prices good for: 120 days The City of Tallahassee is interested in resealing and restriping the West side bus parking lot and to repair any potholes and flash burn all oil spots as needed. There is one pothole on the East side parking lot that will be included in the bid. Clean all asphalt of all dirt and debris. Flash burn all oil spots as needed. Prime and treat all oil spots with oil primer. Patch all the potholes and around all storm drains as needed in the parking lots with 9.5 hot asphalt and compact. Clean out all cracks 1/4 inch and wider and fill with seal master hot crack supreme. Seal all asphalt with two coats of star seal coal tar sealer. Stripe the CDL course, as outlined on page 6 of the plans, with two coats of traffic paint with glass beads added. All parking lot stripes, directional arrows, crosswalks and stop bars will have two coats of traffic paint with glass beads added. Crosswalk locations will be finalized at the pre-bid meeting. Stripes in front of the facility (page 4 of the plans) will go all the way into the shop and have two coats of traffic paint. To saw cut and dig out two areas of damaged concrete and fill these areas back with 8 inches of concrete, 3,000 PSI, with #5 rebar on 12-inch centers. Reinforced with 6x6 w2.1 x w2.1 welded wire mesh placed on 10 mil polyethylene sheeting. Reinforcing shall be accurately placed, rigidly supported and firmly tied in place, with appropriate bar supports and spacers. Lime rock shall be used as a base. All soil below slabs on grade and footings shall be compacted to a depth of 12 inches at optimum. A) 70'X13' in front of the fuel island. B) 10'X15' in front of the bus wash area. Provide crack control joints every 15 feet maximum to limit areas between joints to 225 square feet in all slabs on grade. Joint sealant will be used between the asphalt and concrete and all expansion joints. DOWSIL 890-SL and backer rod. Color: Dark Gray. Contractor shall make sets of four acceptance cylinders for strength testing for each 50 cubic yards of concrete placed. Cylinders shall be made in accordance with ASTM C31 and C172. Testing shall be performed by an ACI certified testing laboratory and shall be paid for by the contractor. NOTE: The contractor need only concern themselves with pages 1-2,4 and page 6 on the plans.
