Wage Rates: Apply Engineer's Estimate: Greater than $500K but less than or equal to $1.5M Project Location: SR-171; 2650 West to Redwood Road The principal items of work are as follows (for all items of work see attachment): Open Graded Surface Course (OGSC) Spray Paver Applied Reconstruct Pedestrian Access Ramp Reconstruct Valve Box (Rapid Set) The project is to be completed: to be determined by competitive bid Each bidder must submit an electronic bid bond from an approved surety company using UDOT's Electronic Bid System (EBS); or in lieu thereof, cash, certified check, or cashier's check for not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid, made payable to the Utah Department of Transportation, showing evidence of good faith and a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder will execute the contract and furnish the contract bonds as required. The right to reject any or all bids is reserved. Additional information may be secured at the office of the Utah Department of Transportation, (801) 965-4346 UTOT - SR-171; 2650 West to Redwood Road Preservation High Volume *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The project consists of the following work: 1. Rotomilling 1 inch of existing asphalt and replacing with 1 inch OGSC. a. Mill and overlay must wrap around the cross streets to the point of tangency (PT) or visible pavement seam, when within 20 feet of the PT, or as directed by the Engineer. b. Do not wrap the side street if there is a cross gutter. 2. Lowering valves, manholes, and cleanout boxes prior to the rotomilling operations and then raise them back to the finished surface. 3. Repairing all soft spots within the project limits as determined by the Engineer. 4. Reconstructing pedestrian ramps at the locations as directed by the Engineer. 5. Reestablishing all pavement markings and pavement messages within the project limits. 6. Reconstructing pedestrian push buttons to meet ADA and UDOT standards.
