Bids came in over budget and the county has decided to not move forward with this project. The Project consists of the following major elements: replacement of a 4-inch water line with a 6-inch water line prior to a road resurfacing project on Chitwood Cove Road and replacement of a 6-inch water line with an 8-inch water line on Wilderness Camp Road. A Bid Bond of 5% of the total project cost is to be included in the proposal package. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds with the executed Contract meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents and executed on the forms attached to the Contract. The terms and time for payment are set forth in the Contract. Surety and insurance companies must have an AM Best rating of A-10 or greater, be listed in the Federal Registry of Companies holding Certificates of Authority and Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds and be licensed by the Georgia Insurance Department and the Georgia Secretary of State to do business in the State of Georgia. Bartow County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals, to waive formalities, technicalities or irregularities and to re-advertise if necessary. The contract between Bartow County and the selected responder shall be subject to the payment agreement drawn up between Bartow County and the selected responder.
