The successful contractor shall properly power down the cooling tower and valve off the heat exchanger. Remove and protect fan pulleys belts and fan hubs. Remove and dispose of existing fan shafts and fan bearings. Install new fan shafts and bearings. Reinstall fan pulleys and fan hubs and install new fan belts on the cooling tower. Drain the plate heat exchanger, Separate and clean all plates. Reassemble heat exchanger, fill and bleed air from system. Perform proper start up procedures for the cooling tower and heat exchanger and verify proper flow within the system. The Bartow County School System is issuing this Request for Quote (RFQ) for Cooling Tower and Plate Heat Exchanger Repairs at Cass High School to secure as-needed, standard, and emergency HVAC repair services from a qualified and licensed contractor. The Contractor(s) shall service all Bartow County School System Buildings. In order to allow all vendors to use the same information, requests for information will not be honored after date. All qualified, licensed HVAC technicians shall possess a valid license or be directly supervised by a licensed HVAC technician during the performance of the work. Firm must have at least five (5) years experience in providing HVAC related services of a similar nature to those described in the description of work. Contractor shall have the experience, knowledge, and skill in all facets of HVAC maintenance, repairs, and installation services required to perform the work described in this document. Licensing requirements of the State of Georgia and/or other authorities, as they apply to the private sector, shall also apply to all personnel engaged in contract activities on Bartow County School System property. All contract personnel employed in this trade shall be fully licensed prior to engaging in any contract activities specified herein. The license must be of a grade, or other level, consistent with the requirement of work being performed and/or established by the State and/or other authority. Bartow County School System reserves the right to award this contract to a single or multiple contractors, based on the needs of Bartow County School System. Bartow County School System reserves the right to provide parts and materials and request the contractor to install owner provided parts and materials under the condition that the contractor only warrants labor when installing owner provided parts and materials.
