The project will be bid and awarded as four (4) Prime Contracts: General Construction (GC), Mechanical (M), Electrical (E) and Plumbing/Process (P). Work is generally described as follows; General Construction (GC): The contract includes water production and treatment upgrades for the municipal water system, consisting of 2 water treatment plant and a water storage tank. The project includes removal of existing concrete structures, piping, equipment upgrades and miscellaneous site improvements. Electrical (E): The contract includes providing site and building control and power wiring and terminations, electrical demolition, and associated work for the upgrade of municipal water infrastructure. Work generally includes plant upgrades, new installations, modifications to existing equipment for wiring, wiring new and relocated equipment, and miscellaneous improvements. Plumbing/Process (P): The contract includes new and upgraded SCADA control system, instrumentation, process piping, valving, and supports, and associated work for the upgrade of the municipal water system. Mechanical (M): The contract includes construction and improvements to HVAC systems and miscellaneous mechanical improvements. The Project is located in Crown Point, New York. Bids shall be submitted on the provided forms in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Each Bid must be accompanied by a security deposit in the amount of 5% of the Bid and subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction to Bidders. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond. Contractor’s bids are irrevocable for a period of (45) days after submission. The Owner requires the project to be substantially completed on or before November 1, 2022
