The preparation and recovering of the current single ply membrane roofing system with new roof insulation, cover board and fully adhered EPDM roof membrane. The work area is located atop the original school house building, approximately 4,660 square feet. The existing east building addition and entrance canopy are not included in the scope of work. Existing roof construction consists of sloped wood deck, 2" roof insulation and a mechanically fastened EPDM roof membrane. Work will include the removal of the existig membrane, removal and replacement of only damaged or degregated insulation, and installation of the new roofing components listed in the construction documents. Work also includes the removal and replacement of existing gravel stop parapet installation and removal/ replacement of the existing roof drain leader from the roof to the leader exit within the basement of the facility. The intent of the project is to provide all new roofing insulation, roof drains and fully adhered EPDM membrane with new trim. Limited penetrations are included in this work and is to be completed under a single Prime Roofing Contract. Project cost range is anticipated to be under $150,000.00. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.
