The Center for Exploration will serve as a children's museum that will provide interactive STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) learning activities for people of all ages and abilities. The all-seasons Center will showcase local and regional industries with several indoor and outdoor exhibits. Scope of Services Grand Forks Children's Museum, Inc. is seeking the services of an architect for planning, design, and construction administration services for the new Center for Exploration. Anticipated Schedule The anticipated schedule for this project is: -December 15, 2021: Request for Qualifications (RFQ) issued -December 20, 2021: Deadline to Submit Questions -January 5, 2022: Deadline to Submit Responses -January 20, 2022: Architect Selection Submission of Qualifications Qualifications can be submitted electronically to Alex Reichert by 12:00 Noon on January 5, 2022, at info@centerforexploration.com. Elements of Qualifications A.Firm Capabilities Proven experience in providing conceptual design services. Firms are asked to submit appropriate graphic material supporting analysis, thoroughness, and clarity (may be the same projects). -Firms are asked to submit up to three examples of projects indicating preliminary estimate and actual construction cost accuracy. -Firms are asked to submit up to three projects graphically showing preliminary design and actual built product. B.Ability of Professional Personnel Qualifications of the principals and project team members proposed for the project, including a clear definition of their primary responsibility. The section shall also include: -An organizational chart for all members in the designated design team located within the member organization's Grand Forks office. At this time, the Board is seeking only a local Architect of Record, any specialty design consultant or additional design team members will be determined at a later time with the Owner. -Indicate the names of employed persons that will be designated as the project manager and principal design member. Indicate the person that will serve as point of contact for all matters relating to management of contract and design services. C.Willingness to Meet Time and Budget Requirements Provide examples of when your firm completed Work within the negotiated fee and include general references where this has been accomplished. -Present an outline of the basic work plan anticipated to accomplish the work. D. Recent and Current Work for Grand Forks community partners. Indicate recent and current work with Grand Forks local public partners (City/County/Park District) and industry partners over the past five years.
