Site work for a mixed-use development in San Luis Obispo, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The Fremont Hillside Restoration and Stabilization Project is a Collaborative Design Build (CDB) Project with Schnabel Geostructural, Design and Construction serving as the Design-Builder. The bid is a continuation of an existing project currently in progress and is located in San Luis Obispo, California, on the Cal Poly SLO Campus as shown on the plans. A landslide created an area of instability which poses a risk to structure/s near the slide, and must be stabilized in order to allow occupancy of the structure/s. Schnabel has been awarded a Design-Build contract to stabilize the area as the General Contractor. Schnabel is requesting cost proposals from qualified subcontractors for the following scope of work: Provide earthwork, concrete, riprap, revegetation, and landscaping services to Schnabel to stabilize the area in accordance with the plans and specifications. Specifically, the bid packages will be: 3. Final Erosion Control 4a. Stormwater and Drainage - Concrete Interceptor Swale 4b. Stormwater and Drainage - Rip-Rap Swale 5. Landscape, Courtyard Improvements, & Concrete Hardscape The work is to be completed on a schedule to facilitate the prompt reopening of the adjacent Fremont Hall. Subcontractor will be required to provide acknowledgement of the schedule and will be required to commit the necessary resources to meet the project schedule demands. A bid guarantee will be required from each bidder. Performance and Payment bonds may be required. The RFP includes a line item in the bid tab for the payment and performance cost. Bonds must be in place prior to beginning work. Requests for information (RFI) will be accepted up to 5 working days prior to the bid at which time no further questions will be acknowledged. A final addendum answering all questions will be sent to all confirmed bidders no later than 48 hours prior to the bid date/time.
