Carson City is accepting sealed bids for all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for the Highway 50 East Water Main Replacement Project. The project includes but is not limited to installing 660 linear feet of 8-inch water main, 4 water services, two fire hydrants, one air release valve, relocate fire hydrant and fire service, concrete work, temporary asphalt patching, abandonment and removal of existing 6-inch water main and associated work. The project includes all common phases of construction customarily associated with this type of project. Contractors are encouraged to visit the project site to verify and approximate the material quantities. Engineer's Estimate: $279,000. QUESTIONS regarding this bid must be submitted in writing via email to Carol Akers at CAkers@carson.org and must be received a minimum of four (4) working days prior to bid opening. If required, a Pre-bid Conference will be held at the time and place indicated on the Notice to Contractors.The purpose of this conference is to discuss the Project, prospective Bidders concerns, and key issues of the Project. Attendance is not mandatory unless otherwise indicated. Each Bid Proposal must be accompanied by a Cashier's check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond acceptable to Carson City in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Bidder's "Base Bid" Proposal.e Bid Proposal and, in the manner and form required by the Bid Document,and will furnish the required PERFORMANCE and PAYMENT bonds. The City reserves the right to waive any informality or irregularity in any Bid received, and to reject any or all Bids.
