The University of Nebraska intends to procure a qualified contractor to provide pre-construction services and construction services as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) for the UNL Veterans' Tribute project. The estimated construction cost for the CMR Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) is $3,200,000. The total estimated construction budget including the GMP, in-house construction services, and the Owner's contingency is $3,750,000. The project will create a beautiful and thought-provoking space to celebrate the courage and contributions of members of the military, veterans and their families. It will feature glass panel displays depicting moments in a veteran or service members life and other elements reflecting on what it means to serve. The space will include seating, new hardscape and plantings. The tribute will occupy the exterior area north of Vine Street and west of 14th Street, from the front entry of Pershing Military and Naval Science building west towards the Coliseum. Per the information contained in the Request for Qualifications, I have read, understand and acknowledge my willingness to perform the scope of work within the Board of Regents approved budget. I have read, understand and acknowledge my willingness to abide by the University's construction manager agreement if selected for this project. All bids must be received by the system before the bid deadline. It is the responsibility of the bidder to allow adequate time for reviewing and submitting their proposal before the deadline to ensure all required responses have been completed. Per Section 3.5 of the RFQ, the CMR Price Proposal consists of three cost items that shall include all expected costs associated with the CMR to carry out the work. The price proposal covers Pre-Construction Services fee, CM fees and overhead, and General Conditions/Requirements.
