As of March 24, 2022, project was awarded to Unitas Construction, awarded amount is $639,330.60. Scope of Work of the Contract includes construction of paving facilities. Roadway excavation. Excavated material to be used for roadway embankment 6-inch reinforced concrete pavement, with 80 ft expansion joint spacing, complete in place. Pavement reinforcement shall be #4, Grade 60 steel rebar on 20.5- inch centers for Longitudinal steel and 36-inch centers for Transverse steel. 6-inch concrete curb, complete in place. 4-inch by 12-inch concrete curb, complete in place. Installation of type III barricade yellow reflectorized traffic buttons 6-inch PVC schedule 40 irrigation sleeves, including 2' stub-up 4-inch PVC schedule 80 Gas Sleeves, Including 2' StubUp, Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or a certified or cashier's check, acceptable to the Owner, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount Bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into the Contract and execute the Bonds on the forms provided, and provide the required insurance certificates within seven (7) days after the date Contract Documents are received by the Contractor. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond, a Maintenance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the sum of 100 percent of the Contract Price, from a surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive all defects and irregularities in bidding or bidding process except time of submitting a Bid. The Successful Bidder, if any, will be the responsible Bidder which in the Board's judgment will be most advantageous to the District and result in the best and most economical completion of the Project. The requirements of Subchapter J, Chapter 552, Government Code, may apply to this Bid and/or Contract and the Contractor agrees that the Contract can be terminated if the Contractor knowingly or intentionally fails to comply with a requirement of that subchapter.
