Renovation of a mixed-use development in Santa Cruz, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

This project is for licensed contractors with a Type B, General Building Contractors license to restore the main auditorium, dance studio, and multi-purpose room hardwood floors; to remove and replace existing carpet squares flooring; to remove and replace Break Room flooring & base and primer and paint walls; to remove restroom flooring and repair subfloor under and around toilet then reinstall LVT floor and paint walls; and provide an Add Alternate line item Bid to construct a temporary entrance to Administration Building then remove storefront and rebuild dry rotted framed opening with finishes. Each bidder must submit a bid proposal for the project for which they intend to bid to Justine Leonard at Justine.Leonard@santacruzcounty.us. The Contractor shall complete all or any designated portions of the work called for under the contract in all parts and requirements within 30 working days (except as modified in the technical specifications). Prospective bidders must be fully qualified, licensed, certified, and insured to perform the work requested. All work performed must meet all current applicable laws and regulations. The County through General Services Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids received as the public good may require. There are "Liquidated Damages" of $100/day for the time exceeding the successful Bidders submitted and accepted project schedule. Bid bonds will be required for all projects over $25,000. Payment bonds will be required for every project over $25,000 and Performance bonds will be required for every project over $10,000. Demolition o Breakroom RM. 1-13 o Demo existing rubber base o Demo all carpet o Minor floor prep o Employee Restroom RM. 1-14 o Remove toilet for flooring work, set aside for reinstallation o Demo existing rubber base o Demo existing VCT plank flooring o Minor floor prep 3. Flooring at Break Room RM. 1-13 and Employee Restroom RM. 1-14 o Provide minor floor prep for flooring installation o Furnish and install Vinyl Plank Flooring o Furnish and install 6" Rubber Base o Reinstall Toilet in Employee Restroom RM.1-14 4. Repairs o Furnish and install new mop sink o Includes plumbing for new mop sink hook ups o Fix sub floor to receive Epoxy Flooring o Furnish and install Epoxy Flooring to door jamb o Drywall patch o Furnish and install FRP 4' wainscot with trim o Furnish and install Access Panel for water valves C. Santa Cruz Vets Hall: Main Auditorium / Dance Studio / Multi-Purpose Room 1. Main Auditorium/ Stage o Miscellaneous baseboard repairs o Refinish existing hardwood floor with 3 coats oil-based finish o Allowance to provide and repair/replace/lace-in new solid Maple 1st Grade (3/4"x2-1/4" x random lengths) hardwood flooring at water/damaged areas o Remove and replace 1/4 "round base trim, paint to match 2. Dance Studio o Refinish existing hardwood floor with 3 coats oil-based finish 3. Multi-Purpose Room o Scrub, buff and recoat the existing hardwood floors with 2 coats of Bona Traffic HD Commercial Grade water-based finish D. Santa Cruz Vets Hall: Basement 1. Mobilization o Interior Dust barricade 2. Exploratory Water Damage Assessment (10' x 25' area) o Remove two Light Fixtures o Demo ceiling area 10' x 25' 3. Replace Drywall Surfaces (10' x 25' area) o Furnish and install drywall o Tape / Texture to match existing o Paint to match existing o Reinstall two light fixtures 4. Final Clean Up o Remove dust barricades and off haul all debris
